
Meatballs in Sweet and Sour Sauce
| 2 lbs. lean ground beef 1 cup fresh bread crumbs 1/4 cup milk 1 egg slightly beaten 1 medium onion, chopped 1/2 green pepper, finely chopped |
1 clove garlic, minced 1 t salt 1/4 t pepper 1- 1/2 t soy sauce 2 Tbsp oil |
Lightly blend all ingredients except oil. Shape into 1" balls and brown in oil.
| Combine: 4 cups water 3/4 cup vinegar 1 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup soy sauce 1/3 cup cornstarch (Cook until almost clear) |
Add: 1 (13 -1/2 oz.) can pineapple tidbits 1 cup celery, sliced 1/2 green pepper, sliced Browned Meatballs |
Simmer for about 20 minutes. Serve over rice
