Chili and Cornbread in a Dutch Oven: ( Campfire )


Cornbread mix
(2-3 packets depending on oven size)

Cast iron dutch oven

Make your favorite chili in a cast iron dutch oven. Let chili bake in a
covered dutch oven either in the oven or over the camp fire 2 to 2 1/2
hours, Make sure if cooking over a camp fire that you stir often. Mix 2
or 3 packets of cornbread mix. After chili has cooked for the 2 to 2 1/2
hours pour cornbread mix over the chili and recover. Bake for another
30 minutes. If using an oven remove lid during last 10 minutes of baking.
Remove from oven and slice as you would a pie. Spoon chili and
cornbread into a bowl and Enjoy.
